With the gentle charm of oak, the timeless polish of smooth stucco, and an eye for both form and function, this family home underwent a remarkable transformation—one that pairs everyday comfort with elevated design.

The project began with the removal of a tired garage, opening the door—quite literally—to a new chapter. In its place now stands a graceful two-story addition that nestles beautifully into the existing architecture. On the first floor, a freshly built two-car garage includes an extended bay, now thoughtfully outfitted with a serene sauna and home gym. It’s a private wellness retreat just steps from the heart of the home.

Tucked beside the garage is a new laundry room and a generous storage space—those little luxuries that make everyday routines feel effortless. Upstairs, the addition becomes a sanctuary of a different sort: a light-filled office for focused moments and a cozy hangout space for the kids to gather, create, and unwind. A second staircase ties the new to the old, inviting a graceful flow from one wing of the home to the next.

Inside, the entire home was taken to the studs and renewed from within. With all-new plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems—plus a brand-new sewer line installed beneath the slab—the home is as sturdy and reliable as it is beautiful. Cabinetry throughout was designed in collaboration with our cabinetmaker, blending custom features with timeless finishes. In the stairwell, handmade solid white oak treads add an artisan’s touch, grounding the home with warmth and authenticity.

Outdoors, the house now gleams with Santa Barbara smooth stucco—a refined finish that pairs perfectly with two striking oak garage doors, each detailed with a chevron pattern that whispers sophistication. It’s an exterior that quietly commands attention while harmonizing with the landscape around it.
